Medusa and Perseus

The story of Medusa Gorgon and Perseus is one of the most famous myths of ancient Greece.
Medusa was a monster in the form of a woman with snakes for hair, and anyone who looked at her would turn to stone.
Perseus, a demigod and the son of Zeus, succeeded in defeating her with the aid of a mirrored shield, a gift bestowed upon him by the goddess Athena.
